RV Resort Check-In Guide: What to Know Before Your First Stay

Arrival day sets the tone for your whole trip. A smooth RV resort check-in means you can get set up, hooked up, and relaxed fast. A rough one can leave you circling a parking lot at dusk.

This guide covers everything first-time guests should know before they pull up to The Californian RV Resort in Acton.

Before you leave home

• Book your site on Campspot, or call the office at (661) 269-0919.
• Check your RV's electric needs. Every site has full hookups with 30 and 50 amp service.
• If you have dogs, call ahead to confirm breed rules. Up to three dogs are allowed per site.
• If you plan a monthly stay and your RV is older than 10 years, call ahead. Older RVs may be subject to approval.

Check-in and check-out times

• Check-in is at 1:00 PM.
• Early check-in before 1:00 PM is $25.
• Check-out is at noon.
• Late check-out is $10 per hour after noon.

Office hours

The office is open Monday through Friday Mon–Fri 11 AM–4 PM and Sat 9 AM–1 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM. It is closed on Sunday. If you will arrive outside these hours, call ahead so we can help you plan.

Finding the resort

The resort is at 1535 West Sierra Highway, Acton, CA 93510, near the Antelope Valley Freeway (CA-14). Take your time on the final approach and watch for the entrance.

Your gate card

A gate card is required to enter the resort. Each card has a $50 refundable deposit. You get your deposit back when you leave, as long as the card is not damaged, altered, or lost.

A few gate rules:

• Only one vehicle may pass through the gate at a time. No piggybacking.
• Do not copy, loan, or share your gate card.
• Pedestrians must use the walkway.

Your site pass

Keep your site pass visible on your dashboard or rear view mirror at all times.

Setting up

• Drive at 5 mph or slower inside the resort.
• Park only on your site. Do not park in empty sites or on the grass.
• Loading and unloading on resort roads is limited to 15 minutes.
• Daily and weekly guests may have one RV and two vehicles per site.

Visitors

All visitors must register at the resort office and park in the visitors lot below the office.

Quick rules to remember

• Quiet hours are 10 PM to 7 AM.
• No tent camping.
• Propane grills only. No charcoal grills and no open wood fires.
• No golf carts, ATVs, or off-road vehicles.
• No RV washing, auto repair, or painting.

After you settle in

Take a walk, find the laundry room and exercise room, and in season, check out the pool and hot tub. Complimentary Wi-Fi runs throughout the resort.
