Monthly RV Parks in Los Angeles County: How Long-Term Stays Work
What a monthly RV stay costs, what it includes, and what to ask before you sign up.
Finding monthly RV parks in Los Angeles County can feel like a chase. Many parks close to the city are full, pricey, or packed tight. If you work in the region, travel for a long project, or just want a home base for a season, it pays to look a little farther out.
This guide explains how a monthly stay works at The Californian RV Resort in Acton. It covers price, what is included, the rules that matter most, and how to book.
Why look outside the city for a monthly RV park
Los Angeles is a huge metro area. Parks right in the middle of it tend to have small sites, more noise, and higher prices. Acton sits in the northern part of the county, off the Antelope Valley Freeway (CA-14). You trade a short drive for open hills, cleaner air at about 3,000 feet, and quieter nights.
From Acton you can reach Santa Clarita, Palmdale, and Lancaster quickly. Universal Studios Hollywood is about 35 minutes away and Hollywood is about 40 minutes away without heavy traffic. That makes the resort a practical base for people who work across the north county or commute into the San Fernando Valley.
What a monthly stay costs
Monthly stays at The Californian start at $1,300 per month. That rate is set up for long-term guests who want comfort and steady value.
If you are not sure how long you will stay, we also offer weekly stays starting at $475 per week and nightly stays starting at $80 per night. Some guests start with a week and switch to monthly once they know their plans. See current pricing on our rates and rules page.
What is included
A monthly stay includes the same amenities every guest enjoys:
- Full hookups with 30 and 50 amp electric service
- Complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the resort
- Mail and packages held at the office by name
- Access to the pool and hot tub (seasonal), laundry room, and exercise room
- A gated, quiet country setting
Mail and package handling is a big deal for long-term guests. It means you can order supplies or get work documents without renting a mailbox somewhere else.
Rules that matter for long-term guests
Every RV park has rules. Ours keep the resort quiet and clean for people who live here month after month. A few that long-term guests should know up front:
- Monthly guests are limited to one RV and two vehicles total per site.
- RVs older than 10 years may be subject to approval for monthly stays.
- Up to five people and three dogs may stay on one site.
- Quiet hours are 10 PM to 7 AM.
- RV washing, auto repair, and painting are not allowed on site.
- There are no refunds and no pro-rating of fees.
You can read every rule on our resort rules and regulations page. If your RV is older, call the office before you book so we can talk it through.
Who stays with us long term
Our monthly guests are a mix. Some are traveling workers on job sites in the Antelope Valley or Santa Clarita Valley. Some are retirees who like a calm base near family. Others are people between homes who want a clean, safe place to land.
If you are here for work, our page on long-term RV stays for traveling workers goes deeper on the details that matter for crews and contractors.
Questions to ask any monthly RV park
Whether you stay with us or not, ask these questions before you commit to a monthly RV park in Los Angeles County:
- Is the monthly rate all in, or are electric and other fees separate?
- Are there age limits on RVs?
- How many vehicles and people can stay on one site?
- Can the office hold mail and packages?
- What are the quiet hours, and are they enforced?
- Is the park gated?
Clear answers up front save surprises later.
