Tips for a great Six Flags day
Get there at opening
Lines are shortest in the first hour. Arrive early and head to the biggest rides first.
Check the calendar
Park hours and operating days change by season. Check the official Six Flags Magic Mountain website before you go. Some days also have special events.
Beat the heat
Valencia gets hot in summer. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and a refillable water bottle. Plan a shaded break in the afternoon.
Know the height rules
Many coasters have height limits. If you have kids, check the ride list ahead of time so no one is let down at the gate.
Hurricane Harbor next door
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, a water park, sits right next to Magic Mountain. It is open in the warmer months. Some families plan one day for each park.
Rest and recharge at the resort
After a full day of coasters, you will want quiet. Quiet hours at the resort run from 10 PM to 7 AM, and the setting is calm and rural. In season, the pool and hot tub are a great way to unwind. The hot tub is for adults 18 and older.
